Rustic Barn Wedding at Buechler Farms
There are many barns in Wisconsin that are wedding venues, but not many weddings hosted in barns that are still an active farm! That is what Buechler Farms in Belgium, Wisconsin is all about! Heather and Chris decided to host their rustic wedding on this farm on a sunny fall day and when I arrived I was immediately greeted by the sounds of goats and cows enjoying the beautiful day, haha. I knew right away that this was going to be a special and unique wedding for me to photograph!
First off, if you don’t know Heather and Chris, get to know them from their engagement blog post here. They are some of the most laid back and sweetest couples I know! Chris is such a jolly guy and Heather has the prettiest eyes!! They wanted to go the traditional route of not seeing each other before the ceremony, so we took it easy up until it was time for the ceremony! Heather walked through a converted farm silo, and after seeing his beautiful bride Chris teared up as he watched her walk down the aisle.
After a sweet sermon Heather and Chris were pronounced husband and wife and the fun really began!! During the evening we had plenty of fun spots to explore for portraits. My particular favorite spot was in the sunflower field at sunset! It was perfect, minus the amount of mosquitos around! They shared a few special first dances underneath the barn chandelier and twinkle lights before heading outside for a fun sparkler exit with the bridal party!
Narrowing down my favorites from this wedding was really challenging!! Enjoy looking at all the pretty photos…and a couple of farm animals photos thrown in too! 😉
