An industrial downtown wedding at Bottle House 42

SO much I want to say about this gorgeous, urban wedding day! First off, Tessa and Tyler are very near and dear to my heart. Tessa was a former high school student of my husband’s and I vividly remember connecting with her fun personality while attending various concerts, musicals, and events at school. We’ve followed each other over the years and I was so honored when Tessa emailed me asking to be her wedding photographer!

The Bottle House 42 venue is inside the Milwaukee Brewing Co location in the brewery district of Milwaukee. The venue was the perfect backdrop to Tessa and Tyler’s wedding day with it’s industrial, uniquely bright venue space. It was the perfect September day, too, so the glass walls were open and brought the fresh air into the room. We enjoyed a first look with parents and with the groom on the rooftop, and had some fun taking portraits around the venue and vicinity. My favorite spot had to be the urban garden wall! I need something like that in my house, it was so cool!

I am giving you the calm version of them in this blog post, but Tessa, just so you know there’s an entire blooper photo collection coming your way of all of your crazy moments shared with Tyler throughout the day. I think you know what I mean by that, haha! I expected nothing less from a theatrical bridal party and couple! So many laughs shared throughout the day!

One of my favorite moments was the father/daughter dance when the song “Happy/Sad” from the musical The Addams Family was performed live. If you didn’t know, Tessa played Morticia in that musical in high school (which my husband Gustavo directed!). It was a beautiful rendition and a perfect moment between dad and daughter. All of the dancing was held in the room with the urban plant wall, which created such a cool backdrop for all of those moments! Ahh! I just loved it!!!
