Lauren and Tanner’s summer wedding at Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan, Wisconsin, was calm, intimate, and beautifully understated. With around 50 guests and a relaxed Sunday wedding timeline, the day felt easygoing and unhurried. As a Lake Geneva wedding photographer, I find Lake Lawn Resort an ideal setting for smaller weddings that prioritize presence over production.

Lauren and Tanner met while attending the University of Minnesota, often finding themselves in the same classes and study groups before becoming friends and, eventually, more. Today, they both work as dentists in Minnesota and spend much of their free time enjoying the outdoors.

On the wedding day, Lauren got ready in a hotel room on site at the resort, keeping the morning easy and low-key. The couple chose not to do a first look, saving that moment for their outdoor ceremony, overlooking the lake. Baby blue and white details blended naturally into the lakeside setting, giving the ceremony a timeless, effortless feel.

After the ceremony, guests gathered in The Geneva Club Room for brunch, speeches, and first dances. Rather than a traditional reception with dancing, the focus stayed on conversation, good food, and time together. The celebration ended with a cocktail hour aboard the Lake Lawn Queen, cruising across Delavan Lake—an easy, thoughtful close to the day.

That steady, grounded connection showed up everywhere on their wedding day. Their Lake Lawn Resort wedding reflected who they are: relaxed, intentional, and quietly elegant.
