Picture this: a classic college house party at UW Madison in 2014—sticky floors, walls covered in graffiti, and the undeniable scent of years of celebration lingering in the air. Not exactly a fairy-tale setting, but it’s where Maren and Andy’s story began. Introduced through mutual friends, Andy roped Maren into being his partner for party games that night. Somehow, they dominated every round—a rare feat, considering Maren’s self-proclaimed lack of skill. For two competitive people, it felt like a cosmic wink. Andy still swears Maren asked for his number first, but let’s just say that’s a contested fact.

From that night on, they were inseparable. Late-night conversations turned into full days together, and before long, they made it official. Their college years were packed with Badger football Saturdays, ice cream runs to Babcock, and endless memories with friends. After graduation, they both landed in Chicago, trading in college life for city adventures. Work often sent them in opposite directions—Andy to New York, Maren to California—but when they finally moved in together during the pandemic, it was full immersion: 24/7, no breaks. Instead of driving Andy away, it only solidified what he already knew. In July 2022, with the Chicago skyline and Lake Michigan as the backdrop, he got down on one knee along their favorite Lincoln Park walking path. And just like that, their next chapter began.

Providence Vineyard provided a breathtaking setting for Maren and Andy’s summer wedding, with its rolling vineyards, elegant white barn, and golden sunlight casting a warm glow over the day. Surrounded by family and friends, they exchanged vows in the vineyard, with the soft rustling of the vines and a gentle summer breeze setting the perfect scene. As the evening unfolded, laughter and music filled the air, and the newlyweds shared their first dance as husband and wife, creating a moment that felt nothing short of magical. It was a day filled with love, joy, and unforgettable memories—the perfect beginning to their next chapter together.
