Elise and Drew had the most perfect summer wedding day possible! It’s been a decade since I shot a wedding at this venue, and the renovations the new owners have made are so well done!! The bridal suite space makes the perfect little backdrop for cute getting ready robe photos and iconic shots of the bride getting into her dress! The exterior has so many flowers and greenery for multiple portrait locations! And the reception space has been painted a lighter color, which makes it feel bright and airy inside! Not to mention an awesome sunken-in dance floor that makes the spotlight first dances shine! I would come back for a wedding here in a heartbeat!
Elise and Drew are just the most adorable, happy couple! They met in college at UW-La Crosse. She played basketball, and he played football, and they got to know each other casually. It wasn’t until their senior year, when they encountered each other at a bar, that things started to shift. After many more months of conversations and hangouts, they made it official and started dating! They got engaged in a private wine cellar with a single table at the Chef’s Table in Milwaukee. Elise was shocked when she entered, thinking they had walked into the wrong room! Little did she know that would be the night that would change everything, and Drew proposed to her!
Their wedding day was so joyful, bright, and magical! I loved seeing the love from their parents and grandparents all throughout the day. We almost had a full set of grandparents from both sides, and they even sat together at the back of the ceremony before it began – I’m so glad I saw them and snapped a photo of that legacy moment! I loved the small touches Drew used to honor his late father – saving a seat for him at the ceremony, a memorial table featuring many photos, and gathering the whole family on the dance floor while belting out “Time For Me To Fly” by REO Speedwagon.
