Elegant winter wedding at Veterans Terrace in Burlington

The final day of 2021 was celebrated in the best way possible; watching Holly and Max get married at Veterans Terrace in Burlington, Wisconsin! In my almost decade of photographing/filming weddings, a New Years Eve wedding was a Chaviano Creative first and it did not disappoint!

Winter weddings in Wisconsin can be tricky sometimes, but when you have an amazing venue, a fabulous couple, and luck out with some decent weather, it’s a breeze! Holly and Max embraced the festive vibe that Veterans Terrace does so well around this time of year. Everything felt very classy and upscale. Holly was so beautiful and to complete her winter wedding look she wore a lovely fur to keep her cozy.

One of my favorite moments from this wedding day was the first dance outside under the stars. A Veterans Terrace tradition (even in colder weather!). A fun way they spiced it up was the bridal party surrounded Holly and Max in a giant circle and held sparklers over their heads. It was really cool!

This was the first wedding at Veterans Terrace that featured their recent remodeling of the ballroom. Since I photograph here a few times a year, I noticed the difference immediately and thought the chandeliers and the new paint job were the perfect upgrades to this already fabulous space. I can’t wait to come back next summer to see it in a different season!

Holly and Max’s families were just the sweetest. They made me feel so welcome into their tight-knit group and I loved celebrating with them all on new years eve!
