When Rachel and Isiah logged into Google Meet with me for our first consultation, I knew right away we were a perfect match! They are true a Chaviano Creative couple! Rachel and Isiah are classy, they love Disney and musicals, and enjoy the finer things in life. They are laid back, witty, and are so clearly in love with each other!! So now without further adieu, it’s time to introduce this adorable couple and our first 2021 engagement session of the season!
Isiah and Rachel met while attending graduate school at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. Within a few weeks they met, became friends, and started classes. They were working for University Student Housing for about a year before taking a trip to Sandia Mountains with their classmates. Their group ended up getting stuck on the mountain for 6 hours!! Well, that allowed them plenty of time for them to really get to know each other! Soon after that, one of their mutual friends helped them realize that they both had feelings for each other and they officially became a pair in August 2015.
Fast forward to July 4th weekend of 2019. While still in the midst of a long distance relationship, Rachel came to visit Isiah in Stevens Point for his upcoming birthday. Unbeknownst to Rachel, under the guise of celebrating Isiah’s birthday a few days early, he took her out for a nice steak dinner and came back and started opening gifts. After Isiah was done, he produced a cartoonish book. Inside this book. Isiah was able to turn all of their memories he and Rachel created in the last 5 years into a comic. After Rachel finished reading the comic book, Isiah proposed. Afterwards, they were joined on the roof with some friends, champagne, and fireworks.
They are getting married this November at 1451 Renaissance Place, a beautiful classy venue in downtown Milwaukee! They drove into Milwaukee one chilly January weekend to accomplish some wedding tasks, including engagement photos! We chose Lakeshore State Park as the backdrop of our engagement session. It offers beautiful views of Lake Michigan and the Milwaukee skyline. Of course it was chilly, but this couple was really brave and we got some amazing results from their session! Usually I’m not a fan of cloudy days, but this particular day was to our advantage. The sky created beautiful, muted tones against the water and snow and it still felt really light and airy. At the end of the session, we drove over to the Milwaukee Riverwalk for a few dusk/nighttime shots in a more urban environment. Those turned out great as well!
I seriously cannot wait for their wedding day -ahhh!!! It’s going to be sooo beautiful! For now, please enjoy this adorable engagement session!!
