Gosh, time flies. The year 2020 is over, and 2021 is FINALLY here. 2020 felt like an eternity, but now it’s time to start fresh and look forward to brighter days ahead in 2021! For those of you who have been here since last year (and beyond!), I really appreciate your support!
It’s the time of the year again for some much-needed reflection and introspection to set the right tone for the new year! I thought of this new idea to share some of my biggest yearly goals for myself and my business! I think it would be fun to look back at the end of 2021 and see how many I actually accomplished! You all can hold me accountable!!
This is my dream goal!!! If you didn’t know, I’ve been rockin’ the hustle lifestyle of maintaining my successful wedding photography and videography business alongside my corporate 9-5 desk job. I have been pushing myself so hard these past few years to make this goal of going full time a reality and (hopefully) later this year I’ll be able to successfully say that I am a full time owner of a photography and videography business and can leave the corporate life in the dust!
I think I need to give myself some credit, I’ve been pretty good about blogging professional highlights from most of my weddings and engagement sessions in 2020! But, as I continue to grow in the wedding industry, there are a few different topics I would like to sit down and elaborate more on in helpful blog posts. This would be to help educate my clients, but also could potentially help other photographers and videographers learn from my experiences. Also, I’d love to put more fun, personal content out there about different things that inspire me outside of my business as a way to connect with you more!
COVID has made it a little challenging to connect in person with other vendors, but I’m hoping as we get into the year, that I can start to meet with more wedding vendors out there. I think networking is so important – I’ve established so many relationships with fellow creatives and industry leaders. Brides have comfort in knowing you’ve worked with one of her other vendors before. I think being a team player and connecting with others is what makes this industry so much fun!
There’s nothing that like sharing your goals with a list of friends and followers to make sure I stay accountable and actually work towards completing my goals!
What about you? What is your #1 goal for 2021? Comment below and let me know. It really makes me happy to know more about what your goals and desires are. Here’s to a productive 2021!
