Switching things up on the blog, we’re back to more lovey-dovey engagement sessions!!! This one is really cool because the whole time we spent our time in Walkers Point, a really hip and urban part of downtown Milwaukee. I’m always discovering new spots to take clients around here and Ariel and Thomas made this exploration so much fun for me!!
Ariel and Thomas met right after high school while working together at Home Depot. They hit it off as friends first and eventually started dating! Probably had to do with all those conversations of “What aisle does this tool go in again?” Cuzzz if you’re anything like me, Home Depot is a black hole where you can get literally lost in their billions of aisles. They’ve been together for over 8 years now and live in an adorable house Ariel recently bought with their brand new puppy, Trinity!
Thomas proposed to Ariel out of the blue this past August while on a walking path they frequently visit. Ariel had just finished up a rough day of work and just wanted to unwind by walking with her favorite person on a nice warm summer night. While they were walking hand in hand, Ariel noticed that Thomas kept pulsing her hand, which she thought was a little odd. But other than that, she had no idea that this was the day when he got down on one knee to propose!!
Our choice for Walkers Point was easy. Thomas and Ariel have chosen a new industrial venue in West Allis called The Gage. I’m super excited to photograph a wedding at this new venue because it looks soooo amazing and definitely gives off a cool, Milwaukee vibe with the cream city exposed brick. The Gage just started doing weddings there in 2020, and in spite of you-know-what, they’ve been doing really well!! I wanted our engagement session to reflect the urban, industrial feel of their venue. And gosh, could we have a more photogenic couple!?!?!? Geez. They could be models, seriously!!
Guys I can’t wait to document your wedding day at The Gage next August!! It’s going to be a blast!! Enjoy some of my favorites from your industrial engagement session at Walkers Point!
