It’s been a few weeks since we featured a new Chaviano Creative couple on the blog. I’m so excited that this week’s couple being featured is Cydney and Mike!! Their romantic sunset engagement photos at Olbrich Botanical Gardens and Olin Park felt straight of out a movie!!
It was only a couple weeks ago that Cydney inquired with me for her June 2021 wedding in Milwaukee. Within the next week we had their engagement session already scheduled and photographed!! I’m so happy that I got to spend time with them right away after they became an official Chaviano Creative couple!
Originally from Detroit and Rockford, fate brought Cydney and Mike together when they met at Marquette University in Milwaukee during their freshman year of college. They hit it off right away and now have been together for over 7 years! Now they’ve settled into city life in Madison, where they both work in the medical field. When they’re not working, they love running and biking around the city!
This past February, Mike planned a spontaneous overnight road trip for the two of them to see friends in Milwaukee. They had drinks at Cafe Benelux then went down by the large orange structure (“The Calling”) near the Art Museum. Cydney and Mike stood in front of it for a photo opp and when their friends got ready to take their photo, Mike got down on one knee and proposed to Cydney!! She kept screaming “ARE YOU SERIOUS!?” over and over!! Cydney was in total disbelief that this was happening!! Mike’s parents drove into town that night and they all celebrated at Harbor House for dinner afterward!!
Like I mentioned before, shortly after Cydney and Mike became an official Chaviano Creative couple their engagement session was quickly scheduled and planned. However, I could tell Cydney put a lot of time into planning this session on such short notice! After sending her my couple’s outfit guide, she quickly found her outfit inspirations and coordinated perfectly with the backdrops of both locations.
Both of them felt a little nervous going into the session engagement – which is totally normal!!! I encouraged them through different posing and I think they immediately loosened up and started having a great time! Olbrich Gardens with basically empty that evening (rare!!) and the docks at Olin Park had the best romantic sunset I’ve seen in a while.
Cydney and Mike, I can’t wait for your amazing wedding day at the Church of Gesu + Best Place at Pabst Brewery next June!! Have an awesome time planning the rest of your perfect day! Enjoy a few of my favorites from your engagement session at Olbrich Gardens and Olin Park!
