A Classic Summer Wedding in Milwaukee
A talented drummer and an amazing singer meet at their church and fall madly in love. I absolutely love their love story! You can read more about how they met and fell in love over on their engagement session post. Fast forward a year and these two beautiful souls are officially MARRIED!!!
This wedding was so special to me because I have basically watched Avalon grow up at our church into the young woman she is today! I’m so happy that Chris came into her life and how happy he makes her feel! I also have a great relationship with Avalon’s mom and it was so special to witness her get all teary-eyed on her daughter’s wedding day and just beam with pride and joy!!
The wedding day started at Oak Creek Assembly of God in the beautifully renovated chapel. Accents of blue, black, and gold could be seen throughout the whole day. It was the perfect classy color combo!
Avalon’s father walked her down the aisle, and Chris, our groom, was beaming from ear to ear!! The ceremony itself was so beautiful and there were more than a few good jokes told by the officiant Pastor Dan! I can recall he had the whole room in stitches at one point. He also took a moment to celebrate Chris and Avalon’s parents’ marriages of over 25 years each! Their parents are an amazing example of a strong marriage!
After Avalon and Chris officially tied the knot, the bridal party headed to a local park for portraits. I had a really hard time narrowing down my favorites, as you’ll notice. The group was just so photogenic and I personally knew most of them, so I’m a bit biased! But I think you’ll agree that they’re a stunning group!!! Of course, Chris and Avalon are just gorgeous and I just had so much fun playing with Avalon’s cathedral length veil during portrait time!
All of Chris and Avalon’s close family and friends met up at the reception venue for an evening of celebration, laughs, tears, and some good ol’ breakfast food for dinner! One special moment was when Avalon’s dad sang an original tune for his daughter and new son-in-law. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room!!
Avalon and Chris, ugh, I just have no more words! Your wedding day was so perfect. I love you guys so much and I hope you’re having an AMAZING honeymoon in Mexico!!! Enjoy all of my favorites from your classic summer wedding day in Milwaukee!

Avalon has blossomed into a beautiful woman! I have known her since she was 2 as I taught Levon, Aubrey, and Avalon for 1st and 2nd grades. I feel a closeness to this wonderful, talented, and spiritual family!
