Nautical Port Washington Engagement at Coal Dock Park

I am sooo excited to share this amazing nautical engagement session from one of the sweetest couples – Ellen and Tim! The summer weather was perfect for an evening at the marina of Port Washington and nearby Coal Dock Park.

Ellen and Tim knew immediately that they wanted their engagement session to take place at Coal Dock Park. This is because it was the same place where Tim proposed!

On the day he proposed, Ellen and Tim took their Great Dane puppy out for a walk in Coal Dock Park. It was a cold, sleeting day in December and the ice pellets were hitting their face as they walked. Ellen thought the walk lasted a little longer than normal. In her mind, she thought maybe they just needed to tire out the puppy. Little did she know that once they reached closer to the water Tim would get down on one knee and propose! The first image below is right around the area where it happened!

It’s a common theme for Chaviano Creative couples to be high school sweethearts! Ellen and Tim met through a mutual friend and got to know each other through AIM chats (remember those days!?). They’ve been inseparable ever since! When they’re not boating during the great Wisconsin summers, they’re at sporting events or trying new restaurants!

This humorous couple giggled their way through their engagement photos. Tim was being a great sport and made Ellen laugh often during the session. The way they interacted with each other was so natural and genuine that they made my job photographing them a breeze!

Lake Michigan was super calm that evening, so we were able to reach the lighthouse without high tides or wind while the sun was setting over the marina. It was a magical, picture-perfect scene!
