Lakeshore State Park Summer Engagement

I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect summer evening in Milwaukee for this gorgeous & musically talented couple’s engagement session! I am so excited to share their love story in the photos captured at the amazing Lakeshore State Park in Milwaukee!

Avalon and Chris met at their church and were close friends for over a year before they started dating last November. As they described it to me, one day something just sparked between them!

Chris is a talented drum player, and Avalon is an amazing singer. They spend a lot of their free time actively involved in the music ministry at their church. In January, they traveled together to a worship conference in Nashville with a small group of musicians from their church. When they had some free time, they headed over to downtown Nashville. While they were there, Chris got down on his knee and proposed to Avalon – she was totally surprised! And of course, she said YES!

Avalon and Chris had the first part of their engagement session at Lakeshore State Park. This location was the perfect mix of urban and nature! While we enjoyed the cool breeze of Lake Michigan, I taught them everything they needed to know about posing and interacting! They made my job of getting authentic emotions easy since they are naturally so comfortable around each other! We finished off the session at sunset in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward and the Milwaukee RiverWalk.

Chris and Avalon, your wedding this August at Oak Creek Assembly of God and the New Berlin Ale House is going to be here before you know it! Only two more months to go!!
