Summer Engagement at Walkers Point + Greenfield Park

When Carolina approached me this spring after her engagement to Gage and told me she was planning a low-key outdoor wedding at the Boerner Botanical Gardens, of course I said – “YES, PLEASE!!!”

Gage and Carolina met at a game night at a mutual friend’s house organized with the intention that they would hit it off! This friend must’ve known how good they’d be for each other!! Gage and Carolina found out that they had a lot in common! They both loved the Milwaukee Brewers, video games, superheroes, and Star Wars!

In true superhero fandom fashion, Gage proposed to Carolina with a cake baked in the shape of Thanos’ glove with all the infinity stones!

I knew that we had to plan something super unique and special for their engagement session. They wanted a good mix of urban + nature photos, and they also wanted to incorporate their love of Star Wars.

So I chose Walkers Point and Greenfield Park for their session. There’s an amazing blush pink and duotone pink/blue wall around there that I had to try out. Little did I know at the time, those are their wedding colors!! It was a perfect match!

I would also like to highlight Carolina’s unique engagement ring. It’s peach morganite in the shape of a flower! So pretty and unique! She actually has two engagement rings – that one, will be saved for special occasions and her everyday ring, which is a gold band wrapped with diamonds.

Summer is upon us, so like a good ol’ Wisconsin evening in June, it was sticky and hot! We grabbed some ice cream at Purple Door in Walkers Point in between locations and it was so refreshing and hit the spot!!

It was the perfect amount of downtime in-between locations because when we arrived at Greenfield Park, we had the most romantic glowy sunset you could ever imagine!! And of course, they wore perfect outfits to match the scene! It felt like it was a romantic moment straight out of The Notebook! There was even a little group of ducklings that swam by — so cute!!!
