Joey + Allie | Oak Creek Assembly of God Wedding
Wow, where do I even begin!? Joey and Allie are just the most adorable couple!! As I walked into church to start my day, I was able to greet so many friends that attend our church who were participating in the wedding. Allie’s parents are currently missionaries in Spain, but Allie’s dad, Mark, used to be a pastor at our church for many years – he even officiated my own wedding back in 2011! Allie and Joey grew up in our church and met while on the youth worship team. Throughout the years I’ve watched them grow their talents for the music ministry and it’s such a blessing to see them up on stage singing and playing keyboard during Sunday morning services.
The wedding at Oak Creek Assembly of God was so beautifully decorated. No details were missed! The reception hall had beautiful lighting and drapery hung from the ceiling, creating a glamorous atmosphere. The focal point at the ceremony was a custom wedding triangle lined with flowers and lights on the floor. It created the perfect backdrop. Right before the ceremony began, Allie shared an emotional father-daughter first look. It was the sweetest thing as I watched as Pastor Mark give his daughter a hug, knowing that in just a few moments he would be giving her away. Joey’s reaction to watching Allie walk down the aisle was priceless. He put a hand over his face and cried tears of joy as he watched his bride approach. Allie’s dad, Pastor Mark, and our senior pastor, Pastor Brooks, both officiated the wedding ceremony. That was so special to witness.
So the rain and wind didn’t stop in time for portraits, but after finishing inside, I wanted to take Allie and Joey outside for a very quick photo in the rain. You’ll see the result of our effort at the very bottom of this post, it was a beautiful moment shared between them just shortly after being pronounced husband and wife.
This wedding post is the LAST ONE of 2019 and I couldn’t think of a more perfect couple to end with than these two. Allie and Joey, I love you both!
