I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to be the photographer at Brad & Kristina’s wedding at Oak Creek Assembly of God. OCAG is my home church and I was also married here. Brad and I know each other through working together in the media ministry at church so at the end of last year when he approached me and asked if I would be his wedding photographer of course I said yes!
One thing to know about Brad & Kristina is that they are a godly couple. They met at church’s college group called Crossroads back in January 2016 and could relate to each other because they found out they both grew up in the same area around Grafton/Cedarburg. One evening at a Crossroads service, Brad prearranged with Pastor Jon and spoke during a “My Story” time and Brad shared his testimony and called Kristina up to the stage and proposed to her.
Brad and Kristina’s ceremony and reception were held at the church. The first thing I noticed while starting off my day was the attention to details. Each table at the reception had a bible verse handwritten on it, and every place card was a different color and adorned with a flower. Kristina also had beautiful bridal accessories that complimented her color scheme well. During the ceremony, Pastor Jon shared a few personal stories of his time with Brad and Kristina, since he knows them so well through church and Crossroads. I thought that was really moving and special.
All throughout the ceremony, the toasts, the décor, and general flow of the day, all focused on God first. You could feel the energy between them and knew that they had a powerful connection with God and with each other.
Brad and Kristina … I wish you so much happiness on your new life together! Your wedding day was perfect and your kind and gentle spirits is what I loved most about you. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this special season in your life!
