It was the perfect spring evening for a wedding at Badger Farms in Deerfield, WI. We loved Matt & Hillary’s “Pinterest inspired” wedding, from the venue, to the unique details in the decor. Matt and Hillary met at the University of Wisconsin and worked together in the Navigator ministry. They love the outdoors; so their wedding at the beautifully landscaped Badger Farms was an excellent choice.

One of our favorite touches were the bridesmaid dresses. You’ll see that no two dresses are the same shade, texture, or pattern, and they pull it off so well! Matt and Hillary took lots of time to make this wedding truly unique and a testament to not only their love, but also the history of love in their families. At the reception they incorporated a table of framed portraits of married couples in each of their families that spanned generations! Under each portrait were names, marriage dates, and the relation to Matt and Hillary. What a wonderful way to tie in family!

In addition to the beautiful dresses and the perfect little details, the venue was awesome. We loved how versatile and unique Badger Farms was! The layout of the ceremony space was perfect for two photographers to capture the same moment in totally different perspectives. With most wedding ceremony venues, you can’t capture audience’s faces and reactions during the vows/exchange of rings/the kiss – but here you could! That was a very cool experience.

A key scripture in Matt and Hillary’s wedding ceremony was Mark 8:10 – “and the two will become one flesh.” Their friends and family took this to the next level, so If you were on Facebook or Twitter on their wedding day, you might have seen #OneFlesch trending. It was such a fun catch phrase and reiteration of this important scripture!

We caught the sunset at the perfect time of day for bridal party pictures, and were able to capture those warm and hazy sunset pictures that Hillary loves! We got a little excited about it, to say the least!

There was a quick turnover of the ceremony space that made way for dancing and a lounge area. This group of people really knew how to have a great time. There wasn’t a time in the evening when the dance floor wasn’t packed!

We ended the night with a sparkler send-off, which was a great way to end the night and send Matt and Hillary off to their honeymoon and new life together!
